Focus on Mexico Holidays

We Brits have been travelling to Mexico for many years and despite the Swine Flu problems of 2009, Holidays in Mexico have never been more popular! With many flights now operating from regional airports to Cancun, Mexico keeps on seeing more and more UK visitors. So what is it that attracts us UK visitors?

Mexico holidays are great for any age, whether you want to lounge on the beach, shop until you drop or explore ancient history, you will find something to keep you busy. Cancun is Mexico's premier holiday resort and it offers miles of white sand beaches, hotels to suit all budgets, lots of shopping and of course plenty of nightlife on the strip. The beaches in Cancun are beautiful and are very clean and lapped by crystal clear waters. There is are plenty of water sports to keep the more active entertained too.

The area of Riviera Maya has lovely beaches too in most resorts. It has a more laid back feel to it than Cancun although Playa Del Carmen and Playacar have some lively beach side bars to keep you busy. The area is close to the ancient Mayan monuments which is perfect for exploring while on holiday in Mexico.

The cost of living in Mexico is on par wit the UK, prices for a bottle of beer start at around 60p, cans of coke at around 50p and a good bottle of wine for around £6.00. Most hotels are all inclusive in Mexico but there are a good amount of bars and restaurants to sample in the major resorts. Holidays in Mexico are now popular year round and flights from local airports such as Newcastle, Cardiff, and East Midlands are opening up Mexico holidays to many more people.
