Big flight boost from Newcastle

Newcastle Airport received a big boost in flights today when Thomas Cook Airlines announced that they are to base a fourth aircraft at Newcastle for summer 2011. They will increase flights to Izmir, Turkey to twice weekly, operate five to Dalaman, Turkey as well as adding more to Cyprus and a new flight Bourgas, Bulgaria. This is a welcome boost for Newcastle which is also to gain a one of flight to The Gambia operated by Thomas Cook Airlines in April 2011.
